Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as an educator at school and her mother as an at-home mom. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was a gifted artist and singer from a young age. She would perform shows using puppets for her neighbors. In the year she turned 6years old, she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked whether the actress was keen to work in show business. Her first major role came in 1964, when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. That year that followed, she appeared in a second commercial on television for the doll Chatty Cathy. Soon afterward, McCormick was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of Wind It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the oldest daughter in the trio of towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick said in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost lost her virginity during the fifth season with Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. In 2008, she revealed in her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice, that during season five on the show she almost lost her virginity to Barry Williams. We would've had a relationship, said she. However, the timing was not right.
